This overarching Studio Management System is a manager of managers interfacing with your technology and facility via varying protocols such as SNMP, TCP IP, and serial, MODBUS or WMI agents. The system features programmable alarm management with rules-based filtering, which is based on monitoring by exception principles to allow quick, effective determination of the root cause of a technical failure. A visual interface integrated with the data filtered through root-cause management allows lesser skilled resources to be on the front line of fault management. What is an OVI? The OVI (Operator Visual Interface) is a graphics object-oriented screen that is created by the user to show signal or data flow, equipment layout, signal and routing configurations, building facility parameters such as AC power phasing, door alarms and operational variables, including alarms, warning messages, status and control conditions. Can I take an OVI from one site to another? Yes, you can build an OVI screen, or a group of screens, at one site and move or copy screens to another site for easy implementation. How long does it take to install Axess? The total time depends on the number of installation sites and each site’s complexity. Please read the Axess manual to review the pre-installation and PC machine requirements, OS setup, and *software* feature set. What types of meters does Axess have? Digital, analog, and graph meters are available and scalable depending on the user’s preferences. Will Axess work across a WAN or LAN? *Axess* will work across a WAN or LAN We recommend the user has a secure VPN type connection. How many COM ports do I need to set up Axess to control my TFT, Sage Digital ENDEC or Trilithic EAS systems? To use Axess to control a TFT EAS system, you will need two COM ports and one GPX-32: one for the EAS Receive Messages and one for the EAS Transmit messages. A Sage Digital ENDEC requires one COM port. Since Trilithic utilizes SNMP no COM ports are required. Depending on the configuration of your PC, you may need to add a serial port expander card to the machine for the COM ports. Does Axess support environmental probes? Many standard temperature, humidity, and environmental probes can be connected to *Axess.* Are the Control, Status, and Analog channels programmable so they can be set up to act on their own during an alert condition? Axess *includes* an SCL (System Control Language) feature so users can set up scripted routines for each control, status, and analog channel. This allows the system to automatically perform specific user-defined actions. Can I control which parts of Axess users have access to? Each user is assigned a password level that determines their ability to activate controls or perform functions in the system. Can I use Axess to monitor building systems? Building systems with a parallel interface in the form of voltage or contact closure can be set up and monitored on the *Axess* system through the GPX-32 interface device. Any systems with SNMP interfaces can also be monitored. Can I generate reports with Axess? Axess generates user-defined (filtered) event and analog reports What other special devices or systems can Axess interact with?
